Small Groups

Many people call CVCC “Home.” If you are new, it may seem difficult to get involved. But that's not true! Small groups are a great ways to get to know people! There are many Bible study groups to choose from!
Small Groups
The small group ministry of our church is vital to its health and growth. It is there that we may band together with an intimate group of people and support, challenge and engage each other. This is another avenue to worship God and get connected into the church community. If you have any general questions about any of the small groups below you can contact the church office.
Bible Studies
Mondays
•Edwards' Bible Study at 7:15pm: This group has been a long standing Adult Bible study which has focused over the years on a variety of guided scripture studies, dvd instructional aids, and outside book reading. Most of them have been meeting for almost 10 years but new members are always welcome. This group meets at the Edwards home in Oak Park.
Tuesdays
•Early Morning Bible Study at 6:45am: If you are interested in an in-depth study of the bible, then this is the ideal group for you. Many of the individuals in this group are part of the work force and enjoy the opportunity to participate in this early morning study when evening hours may be difficult to commit to. This is a women's group which is held at CVCC and is facilitated by Dianne Estes.
•Heintz' Bible Study at 7:00pm: This adult Bible study group is comprised of people from many different backgrounds and life situations; singles, young marrieds, families and more. They generally use material that focuses on different books of the bible, however, tangents are always welcomed and explored! This group meets at the Heintz' home in Thousand Oaks.
Wednesdays
•Women's Bible Study at 9am: Another a diverse group of ladies who have been meeting now for 8 years, and some of who are brand new to the church. The group meets at April Gregoire's house in Thousand Oaks.
•Women's Afternoon Bible Fellowship at 12:30pm: This group is a Fellowship group in the true sense of the word. They come together and spend time sharing, ministering and coming along side each other in their daily lives. They spend time studying various books in the bible and are also very geared towards missions efforts. This group is held at CVCC.
•Miskos' Bible Study at 7:00pm: An Adult Group focused on in-depth study of the Bible and is held at the Misko home in Thousand Oaks.
Thursdays
•Adult Bible Study at 7:00pm in Agoura Hills. A wonderful and diverse group of men and women who spend time in fellowship and serious study time digging deeper into the Word. This group is led by Randy Olson at his parents home in Agoura.
Saturday (Months vary)
•Hidden Treasures is for women 60+ from our community who get together one Saturday a month in the Youth Hall from 12-2:30 to eat great food, fellowship, sing, and share stories and prayer requests. These women are lively and lovely!
Prayer Groups
As a church family we have seen the power that prayer has in our daily lives, in times of sickness, in times of rejoicing and as a way to get closer to our Lord. Throughout the year we hold prayer vigils focusing on the various ministries the church participates in and the different needs it faces. You are invited to participate in the prayer life of our church.
