Meet Our Staff
David Clack - PastorDave and Sharon Clack felt a strong calling from God to come to California in 1994. They left their country, their family, their friends, and a thriving church of 1500 members. The Lord led them to a tiny church which met in a school hall and was not confident of survival. To their great joy, God has turned CVCC to His direction over the years.
Much of Dave's relevant, inspiring, and often humorous message stems from his life in the real world. God, through His Son Jesus, is sufficient in every circumstance, and has proven so through many difficulties and personal tragedy.
Dave spent many years as an engineer before being called to ministry and completing seminary in South Africa. Sharon is a music teacher and also has a theology degree. They have four children and six grand children. The Clacks have a passion for the Lord and His Word, for family and friends, and the Lakers!
Victoria Leming - Office AdministratorVictoria has been our office administrator since 1999. In 1997, Victoria’s life changed when she received Christ! At 39, life looked totally different and God moved quickly making many changes in her life and uprooted her to California with her family. Within a month of her moving here, she was led to CVCC and became a member and involved in the ministries of the church. Her passion was awakened in the life and power of prayer, where she began the prayer ministry here at CVCC. Within a month of kicking off the prayer ministry, God opened up the door for her to move into the position as CVCC’s Office Administrator!
To this day, Victoria is still very passionate about prayer and all the ministries of the church, as well as caring for office needs and is grateful and passionate about this church family, the life, health and heart of God’s church and whomever He brings to CVCC!
Tirsha Thornbury - Director of Children and Youth Ministries
We are so grateful to have Tirsha as our youth director. Tirsha has grown up in a loving, Christian home and her heart and burden for the youth is undeniable. She is gifted with a knowledge, love and creativity to witness to our youth and open their hearts up to a loving and personal relationship with the Lord. Tirsha has always been very involved with youth groups growing up, and since she graduated she has taken extensive courses in Bible Studies and has just recently been enrolled in a Psychology and Christian Counseling education program to further her studies and growth in leading and teaching our youth.
With her husband, Cody, beside her and helping out as one of the leaders for the youth, we are seeing many hearts and families transformed and renewed. Our youth programs continue to grow and we are all so blessed to have them aboard.
Scott Leming - Youth Intern
Scott is our most recent addition to the CVCC staff, and it's wonderful to have him back! Scott attended our Jr. High and Sr. High youth programs, but after graduating from High School left and received his degree from Eternity Bible College in Simi Valley, studied at Moorpark College and is currently completing his degree at Cal Luthern University. Throughout Scott's time away, he led younger youth ministry programs, led worship at his previous church on a regular basis, and his return to CVCC has been a great gift to us all!
Scott brought along with him his lovely fiance, Alicia Fletcher, who is also very involved in helping to lead the youth and has joined our worship team, adding her beautiful voice and gifts to our Sunday services. They are scheduled to be married in July 2012.
